WELCOME
TO CANDO!

We are so honored that you are interested in contributing to and being a part of our mission to bring more co-occurring residential treatment beds to the Portland Metro Area. Our main purpose right now is to acquire the finances needed for property acquisition and licensure. We are a non-profit that relies solely on donations and grants to fund our mission. If you live, work in or visit our service area, it is hard not to notice how many people are affected by substance use and mental health issues in our community. CanDo seeks to be a part of the solution and we need your help!

CanDo. seeks to be a part of the solution and we need your help!

Donating to this cause not only aids in the acquisition of the facility but it also signifies a commitment to breaking the cycle of addiction and promoting long-term recovery for those affected by substance use and mental health issues. There is a critical need for residential treatment beds in the State of Oregon and there are no immediate beds available for those in crisis from substance abuse and mental health issues. Estimated wait times for help with such issues are 4-6 weeks at a minimum. Please help us bridge the gap. The founder of CanDo thanks you for your interest and is available to answer any questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to contact us!

meet the founder

Our founder and Chief Executive Officer, Kylie Late, B.S., CADC, is nothing short of passionate about growing the treatment availability within the Portland Metro-area. She is in recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol and has been working within the treatment community ever since. Kylie recognized the gap in treatment availability in the Portland area working as a CADC where she often had to notify clients of long wait times  before they could receive treatment. She desperately wants to be a part of the solution.

Kylie received her B.S. in Criminal Justice in 2015 from Stevenson University in Baltimore County, Maryland. She played basketball at the collegiate level and understands that to be successful in recovery and in life, it takes a village. Kylie utilizes a combination of her life, educational and athletic experiences toward her love of helping other people.

Since 2018, Kylie has wanted to create a treatment center that incorporates all the ingredients that she felt were missing during her treatment experience and that she has noticed working as a professional in the industry. She also recognizes that there is a gap in the quality of treatment for individuals with the Oregon Health Plan versus those With private health insurance. Kylie believes that addiction does not discriminate, and neither should addiction treatment.
