WHAT WE CANDO.

  • According to the 2021 NSDUH report, Oregon was ranked 50th in the nation for teens and adults needing but not receiving treatment for substance use disorders. This means that Oregon has the least amount of access to care and 135,000 individuals could not get the help they needed.

  • For one residential treatment bed in Multnomah County, there are 1,744 people. In September 2019, the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission found that the residential treatment bed count in Multnomah County was 463.

  • Combined with the surrounding counties of Columbia, Clackamas, Washington and Yamhill there are a total of 547 residential adult treatment beds.  If we are able to address that gap, just a little bit, we can save lives.
